Linda Hunt
Linda Hunt is a seasoned farmer, agrologist and the visionary Director of AgKnow. With over two decades of experience working alongside farmers in Alberta and Saskatchewan, Linda has cultivated a deep understanding of the unique challenges faced by agricultural communities. Her extensive background in program development, project management, and advocacy has been instrumental in shaping initiatives that prioritize the mental well-being of farmers and their families.
Under Linda's leadership, AgKnow has emerged as a pivotal organization committed to increasing resiliency within farming communities and encourage sustainable environments where farm families can thrive.
Linda continues to advocate for policies and programs that support the mental health of farmers, emphasizing the importance of community involvement and evidence-based approaches. Her work not only contributes to the well-being of individual farmers but also to the overall prosperity and sustainability of Alberta's agriculture sector.
She currently works from her farm in central Alberta to build and coordinate the Alberta Farm Mental Health Network, and support the work of the municipal Agricultural Service Board Provincial Committee.
