Farm-informed Counselling
We Know Farming
AGKNOW COUNSELLING NETWORK
Great NEWS! The provincial government through the ministry of Mental Health and Addictions is making a long term commitment to a Farm Informed counselling program in Alberta through a partnership with Counselling Alberta. You may have already seen some advertising and social media posts from Counselling Alberta about the program: Farm Informed Counselling - Farm and Ranch
Many of our AgKnow Counsellors have signed on to support the new program which is scheduled to be fully transitioned by November 1, 2025. Until then, the 4 free counselling sessions will still be available from any of the Counsellors on the AgKnow Farm Counselling Team.
We will continue to find and promote all Farm Informed Professionals, who meet the needs discovered through our engagements surveys and research and hope to continue our work of increasing the capacity of our health care and industry to support the wholistic needs of farm families, their employees and veterinarians.
Check back throughout October as we make the final transition to our new permanent program in partnership with the Government of Alberta and Counselling Alberta.
