PREVIEW

The farm doesn’t take a day off - and neither do you. There’s always something or someone depending on you showing up and getting the work done. So where can you go when you or your family are the ones who need help? Finding the right kind of help isn’t always easy - that’s why AgKnow is here to connect you with professionals and resources that are meant for you.

Along with our new website and as part of our official launch, we’ve packed this newsletter with tons of information, resources and ways to get involved. First of all, let us introduce you to our Farm Mental Health Referral Network. You may be wondering - what even IS a Farm Mental Health Referral Network?

Over the last 6 months, we’ve brought 12 mental health professionals together across the province with experience working with farm families and in agriculture to one place - AgKnow. Our current initiative provides 2 free counselling sessions for farmers and their families. All in an effort to improve access, awareness and availability of farm mental health resources for Albertan farmers.

It might not be you, right now who’s struggling and needs support. It could be a friend, spouse or neighbour. With AgKnow, you can point them in the right direction when they need the kind of help you can’t provide.

We encourage you to explore our resources, participate in our research and stay connected with us as we continue on our journey to change the landscape of mental health in Alberta.
